Aultbeithe is a stunning VisitScotland 5-star holiday cottage, situated at the end of the road at Dalbeg, on the west coast of Lewis, overlooking Loch Dalbeg and just 100 metres from a beautiful sandy beach that you will generally have all to yourself. The house is a short distance away from the Westside Coastal Walk and right in the middle of some of the best countryside and archaeological sites in the world. The standing stones at Callanish, the Iron Age broch at Carloway, the restored black house village at Gearrannan, the restored norse mill at Shawbost and the Black House Museum at Arnol are all within 10 miles of the cottage. The area is positively teeming with birds and wildlife.
The cottage has a lovely remote feel and yet is only 25 minutes from Stornoway. As the cottage is at the end of the road, there is very little passing traffic and yet the main west coast road is just half a mile away.
Two bedrooms, one king-size and one twin, sleep four people in comfort. The cottage has been equipped to the highest standard. There is a full Sky+ TV package - so you don't need to miss any of your favourite programmes while you are on holiday. And there is, of course, wireless broadband in the cottage - so you're only a couple of clicks away from the worldwide web.
Weekly rentals range from £800 in 2014.
Unfortunately, we do not accommodate pets; and Aultbeithe is a no-smoking holiday cottage.
